Anse Royale Beach & Snorkeling at Ile Souris
Anse Royale beach is one of the most known, beautiful and iconic beaches of the main island. Accessible year round, the bay provides a safe haven for swimmers and the beach remains accessible year-round.
Ile Souris, located off the coast of Fairyland beach, is one of the islands best snorkeling spot. The tiny island is a few swimming strokes or canoe paddles from the main Anse Royale beach.
Anse Royale village
The apartments are located in the heart of Anse Royale district, which is the most prominent village in the south of the Island. Kafe Kreol is open daily, from 10am to 10:30pm, and offers a mouthwatering range of snacks, Pizza, Italian and authentic Creole dishes. Also available is a range of cocktails, mocktails, fresh juice of the day, soft drinks, beer, wine, tea and coffee.
Craft Village
The craft village is 10 minutes drive away and offers a beautiful insight into the island traditional architecture, heritage, cultural background, through the Heritage house and craft & souvenirs kiosks.
La Plaine St. André
La Plaine St. André is rum distillery within an iconic heritage site that is home to a museum, a medicinal garden and historical ruins. The site has available guided or scheduled self-guided tours, rum tasting tours, snacks and cocktails at the Rum Shack. Open Monday to Friday from 10.30am to 4.30pm.
Jardin du Roi Spice Garden
Jardin du Roi is a lush garden located 2km uphill in Anse Royale. There is a self-guided walk around the extensive garden, through an array of endemic plants, medicinal herbs, spices, fruits and a tortoise pen. The planter's house contains small museum and there's a quaint café-restaurant with a beautiful view of the coast. A small gift shop sells locally made jams, marmalade and spices. Open daily from 10am to 5.30pm.
